The exhibition The Nine-tailed Fox addresses various themes dear to the artist such as Asian mythology and the question of gender. An emblematic creature of Asian mythology, the nine-tail fox is a powerful symbol of animism, love, of the power of women and the whole human race. Legend has it that these creatures left India, crossing Tibet to join China, where, transformed into pernicious givers of bad advice, they had pushed the last emperors of the Qin dynasty to commit iniquities that eventuallycost them their thrones. Their journey also continued into Japan, a country that experienced much political turmoil upon their arrival. For this project, Galaxia follows in the footsteps of these mystical beings through a docu-fiction and an archaeological installation where the visitor can go on the quest for the soul of the nine-tailed fox.

L’exposition Renard à neuf queues aborde certains thèmes chers à l’artiste comme la mythologie asiatique ou la question du genre. Créature emblématique de la mythologie asiatique, le renard à neuf queues est un puissant symbole d’animisme, de l’amour, du pouvoir de la femme et du genre humain tout entier. La légende veut que, venus d’Inde, ces créatures ont notamment traversé le Tibet pour rejoindre la Chine, où, transformés en favorites pernicieuses et de mauvais conseil, ils/elles avaient poussé les derniers empereurs de la dynastie Qin à commettre assez d'iniquités pour que cela leur coûte leurs trônes. Leur périple s’est poursuivit au Japon, pays qui a subit dès leur arrivée nombre de troubles politiques. Pour ce projet, Galaxia est parti sur les traces de ces êtres mystiques au travers d’un docu-fiction et d’une installation archéologique où le visiteur est invité à une quête de l’âme du renard à neuf queues.
